Hi-Fi Prototyping

September 15th, 2006 by Kinan Sweidan

Yesterday’s presentation about High Fidelity Prototyping by Mark Kraemer was very impressive.

Mark talked about prototyping and it’s effects on customers, investors, analysts, programmers, etc. He also covered some of the HCI (Human Computer Interaction) methodologies such as stories, scenarios, mockups and usability.

I found his presentation to be very helpful because it presented a real life example. And covered prototype development during different iterations (phases) of his project’s life cycle (SDLC).

Prototyping is a tricky issue and there is no perfect formula for good prototyping. There are some guidelines that you can follow. However, you always need to modify your techniques according to your specific requirements, audience, time and budget.

Thanks to mark for his efforts and thanks to Refresh Dallas for making this happen..
